The digitalized administration in Montenegro is finally working. After a wait of around six months, company formations can now be fully processed again using the new digital procedure. Important administrative processes in Montenegro have been digitalized since 1 January 2026. Company formation is carried out via a new electronic system. An essential component is the notarization of the company founder’s signature. The notary confirms and digitizes the required documents, which are then transmitted electronically to the relevant authorities together with the articles of association, the minutes of incorporation and all other documents. The result: in many cases, the company formation is completed on the same day. By the following working day at the latest, all company documents, including the company stamp, are usually available and the company is officially registered and ready to act.
