Originally, the Porto Montenegro was a naval port. A few super rich people of the world – such as Jacob Rothschild (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey, Peter Munk, Bernard Arnault) – noticed that the demand of yacht moorings around the Mediterranean was huge and at the same time the supply was low. So the gentlemen invested and created Porto Montenegro, a small luxurious world in the middle of Montenegro. Clever, one can only say. But this is not an isolated case either. The super rich like to look around the world and invest wisely where there is still development and prices are still low, but will rise in the foreseeable future.

In the end, the whole site was then taken over by ICD – Investment Corporation of Dubai – in 2016. Again, one can only say: wise decision on everyone’s part! The interest in Montenegro in the world is greater than you think!

The area is definitely worth a visit! One feels here actually a little bit like in Dubai. Everything is clean, well-kept, beautifully landscaped – all year round. You have modern cafes, restaurants and coffee shops and if you want to shoot beautiful photos or buy clothes of luxury brands, then you are exactly right here!
